We are inviting people to join us in creating a Dementia Action Group, with the aim of making Bathurst a Dementia Friendly Town, at a morning tea to be held during DCaf. If you have lived experience, or experience in working with or caring for someone with dementia, we would love for you to take part.
Dementia affects almost 1 in 10 people aged 65 years and over and is the second leading cause of death for Australians.
Bathurst Regional Council, together with The Neighbourhood Centre, Western NSW Local Health District and Dementia Australia, are working to raise awareness of Dementia and improve the quality of life for those affected by the disease in the Bathurst region.
The meeting will be held in conjunction with D Caf, a weekly social support group for people living with Dementia and their carers.
Wednesday, 3rd of May 2023. 10am – 12pm
the neighbourhood centre, 96 russell st, bathurst.
RSVP by giving us a call on 6332 4866.
